The Fourth Industrial Revolution is marked by emerging technological breakthroughs in a number of fields--fusing the physical, digital, and biological worlds. Network and Cyber Security is the key component in this revolution.
This program will be presented by 23-year veteran of Cisco, Rene Daughtry. Rene has inspired many at Cisco with his innovative leadership on the Research Triangle Park campus and in communities across North Carolina. He has started various support teams in Cisco within the World Wide Technical Support organization as well as in Advance Services. In a past role in Cisco Advanced Services he had to be innovative and creative in ways Cisco support its customers and create ways to enhance the service offering. His current role is that of the Advanced Services Lead Project Manager overseeing advanced technology testing of Next Generation Cable Solutions for US Service Provider, Advanced Virtual Data Center Solutions and Internet of Things (IoT) for US Enterprise customers.
In early 2010 Rene identified a need for technical awareness and education among the underserved residences of the counties in urban and rural North Carolina. He created Aisymmetry LLC that conducts LEGO robotics workshops and creates Lego Robotic Coding curriculums for youth-based nonprofits, schools and churches. As a facilitator he regularly works with young people who aren’t interested in robotics or aren’t very confident in the verbal and written skills needed to participate. His solution is to engage them by demonstrating the technology through presentations and demonstrations. He utilizes the Lego Robotic Mindstorm curriculum to enhance middle and high school students’ critical thinking, innovation and imagination.----
