== Overview ==
This session will explore two themes -- “Culture eats Strategy” (Peter Drucker) and “Culture can be changed in a managed way”. We will look at an actionable definition of culture, first and second order change initiatives, why cultural change is a wicked problem and what companies have done to successfully change their culture.
== About the Speaker ==
Perry Riggs is a seasoned IT leader with 30 years of experience building and leading teams across a wide array of industries and corporations ranging from startups to the fortune 50. His career has spanned software development, R&D, vision, strategy, transformation and operations. His experience in Agile began with rolling out Scrum to Red Hat’s IT organization in 2008. He has worked at Deutsche Bank for 6 years first as a scrum master, then a product owner and is now lead for the Transformation Pillar on the Agile Services Team at Deutsche Bank. Agile Services is an internal consultancy driving the adoption of agile practices across Deutsche Bank’s 55,000 person global IT organization.

This session will be held in the James B. Hunt Jr. Library - 1070 Partners Way, Raleigh, NC 27606 - Lecture Hall (Room 4106) in the Institute for Emerging Issues on the 4th floor.
*** Once you enter the library, walk past the yellow staircase and take the elevator to the Institute for Emerging Issues on the 4th floor. Turn right off the elevator and follow the curved railing straight back until you see Room 4106 in the back left corner next to former Gov Jim Hunt's office.
