"Normal users" don't usually use the command line to do things on their computer. So when you are trying to go from being a "normal user" to a developer, getting the hang of command line tools and interacting with machine that way can be a little awkward. Let's get over the hump and start mastering this thing. We will talk about different command line interfaces on Windows and Mac, how to access them, how to use them and why. We will also explore some of the commonly used frameworks, libraries and tools that often require a CLI to use them like:
- git (version-control)
- npm (package manager)
- node (server framework)
We will talk about what these are and why you would use them. Let's learn how to use them and play with them a bit to get you familiar.
We will wrap with some hands on examples to show you how using CLI can help you streamline your development process once you are comfortable with it. We will go through some cheat sheets for commonly used commands that you can use.
