Lightning Talks: Tools n Techniques - Sketch App

Organizer: Crop

ExploreUX (, Sketch App Triangle (, and Crop ( are co-hosting our first Tools n Techniques event of the year! We’ll dive into the Sketch app with a handful of lightning talks.

In the past few years, the design community has embraced Sketch. It’s a vector-based tool for designing websites and mobile apps. Not only is it easy to use, but it’s also a powerful tool. Join us for an evening of lightning talks to learn about some of these tricks and plug-ins that can improve your Sketch game!

Lightning talks are 5-minute long, fast-paced talks, where each presenter gets only 20 slides, and the slides automatically advance every 15 seconds. The brevity of these talks make them focused and informative.

“Tools and Techniques" Series
Each month, we have an event based around a theme (e.g., user research, Sketch plug-ins, etc.) and have speakers from the community give presentations on tools/techniques for that theme. If the opportunity presents itself, we’ll try to have an activity too. We really want this series to be tailored to our community, so we want to: hear your theme ideas, have you present (yes, I’m sure you have a tool/technique to share), and have your company host an event at the office! Feel free to reach out to us.
