• What we'll do
We'll discuss "MonoSLAM: Real-Time Single Camera SLAM" by Davidson et al.


and discuss possible group projects. SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) is crucial technology employed by self-driving cars and unmanned vehicles of all kinds, from search-and-rescue robots to next-gen Roombas. I'll aim to start discussing the paper around 6:00PM, and then folks are welcome to hang around the rest of the evening and we can discuss projects or other hot topics, or people can just work on their own.

BTW once you get into Carrboro, getting to Kitware is easy--just park in the Weaver Street Market lot.
