We are the Triangle Rustaceans, a group of Triangle-area Rust aficionados of all levels of skill and experience.  Meetings will be on the 4th Monday of every month, at 7pm.

This month, Chris Krycho (host of the New Rustacean podcast) will be doing a practice run of his talk for the upcoming Rust Belt Rust conference, "Becoming a Contributor":

"So, you’re new to the Rust community. (Or any community, really!) And you want to help, but, well, you’re new. So how exactly do you start contributing? What kinds of contributions are valuable? We’ll talk about everything from asking questions to writing documentation, from pitching in on forums and chat to writing blog posts, and from starting your own projects to contributing to other open-source projects."

All people attending Triangle Rustacean events agree to abide by the Rust Code of Conduct.

Location & Parking

This month we are being hosted by Caktus Group, located at 108 Morris St. next to Bullseye Bikes in downtown Durham.  If you have trouble finding free on-street parking, Caktus recommends using the Durham Centre parking garage, with entrances on Morris St. and W. Morgan St.  The evening price in the parking garage appears to be a minimal $1.50.
