Sahdev P. Zala

Summary: In this talk, Sahdev will provide walk through of Kubernetes upstream development with focus on issue management/triage process, bug life-cycle and developer workflow, where to ask for help when you have question etc. Sahdev is also actively involved in the SIG focused on contributor experience and so can take feedback from meet-up participants for any improvements towards improving Kubernetes contribution experience.

Bio: Sahdev P. Zala is a software engineer in the IBM Open Technology organization. He is currently focused on the Kubernetes upstream development. Sahdev is also a core contributor in the OpenStack project and he is a founding Project Technical Leader (PTL) and architect of OpenStack Heat Translator and TOSCA Parser projects.

Tong Li:

Summary: In this talk, Tong will give an introduction to Hyperledger Fabric, the open source blockchain product. after brief introduction to the fabric, Tong will talk about how to deploy fabric onto k8s on various cloud such as OpenStack, AWS and Azure. He will further share the problems that he has encountered in the process and how he overcame these problems. He will use the Hyperledger Fabric deployment project to demonstrate the process of deploying Fabric.

Bio: Tong Li is a senior software engineer at IBM. He has been a cloud advocate and contributor to OpenStack cloud. In the past year, he has been leading the team of the OpenStack Interop Challenge team to make sure that the enterprise application can be easily deployed onto many OpenStack clouds. Tong currently works on Hyperledger Fabric deployment project. He is the lead contributor to the Hyperledger Fabric-Deploy project.
