NoSQL Workshop Part I

Organizer: Code Craftsmanship Saturdays

For this code craftsmanship session we will take a look at NoSQL databases. NoSQL encompasses a wide variety of different database technologies that were developed in response to the demands presented in building modern applications in that developers are working with applications that create massive volumes of new, rapidly changing data types — structured, semi-structured, unstructured and polymorphic data. We will as always combine theory with application in the workshop. We will use MongoDB as our Document Database and will examine concepts in Data Modeling and do a brief comparison between NoSQL and SQL Databases.
